I am excited to write abt this as this was my first experience. Well the first one always last. Me and my friends (Rahul, Vishi, Sarvesh) made a road trip to Harihareshwar & Diveagar on 24th March, 2012.
We started at 5 in the morning from Pune. We had two Unicorns. Took the road to Paud then crossed Mulshi.
After crossing Mulshi we met Tamhini Ghat. We might have crossed just 5-6 Kms of it and one of our unicorn got flat. I was a bit irritated at this. Well this event is a story. Me and Sarvesh went back a few kms to the local repair man. It was around 7 am. He was sleeping and he sad that he don't have the glue for fixing the tube. We came back at the puncture point with a heavy heart and then we all thought that the best solution we have is to load the bike in a truck and then the truck wala will drop us to the nearest repair shop. Sarvesh said that "We might have disturbed repairman's sleep and he might have got annoyed at this, because of this he might have said that he doesn't have the glue for fixing." We tried our luck once again and went back to the repairman. At this time he said that he doesn't have the glue but he will give us the tools and an old tube. We will have to do the hard work of repairing the puncture. This option didn't suited to most (all) of us. Ultimately we asked a Truck driver if he can help us with the situation. He agreed to drop us to the nearest repair shop. His name is Ganesh. He did all the hard work of uploading and downloading the bike in/from the truck. We were just supporting him. We are really thank full to him. After getting the bike repaired we again hit the road. We reached Diveagar around 12 in the noon. Spent some time on the beach then traveled to Harihareshwar. While going to Harihareshwar we saw some beautiful scenes as the road was parallel to beach. At Harihareshwar the parikrama (Circuit) of the temple was the best part.
We had to walk through rocks which were carved because of the strong waves. It was the best parikrama that I had done till date.

We started our journey back to Pune at 4:30 pm. When we kicked off our journey we were pretty sure of the route which we were to take (Harihareshwar -> Mahasla -> Mahad -> Pune) typically we were to follow the SH70. We had already crossed out the option of travelling back from Tamihi ghat as some dacoits incident were reported. So we followed the our plan of action. We traveled for about 2 hours and we were not able to see a person or an animal on our way. In this complete time span of 2 hrs we met a truck driver who directed us on the track which leads to Mahad. And then after an hour we met another guy which again said that we were on the right track to Mahad. But we had some fear in our heart and after these 2 hrs we saw a shop. We asked him about the roads to Mahad and Tamhini. The road to Tamhini was good but we had the fear of dacoits and the road to Mahad was bad it was also about 50km longer. We were in a dilemma. We ultimately decided that we will go to Mahasla and then take the route to Tamhini (jo hoga dekha jaaega types). One of the most important input was from our bumps in taking this decision. This was the first time we all came to know that the relation between bumps and seat is like that of Husband and wife. Its good when its new and its itching when it old. We reached Tamhini at about 8:30. Our bike didn't crossed the speed of 30 Kms/hr while we were in the Ghat. Sarvesh and Vishi met a small accident. There bike slipped. But still everything was fine. Daringly we crossed the Ghat and reached Mulshi. Then we drank a refreshing tea and set back on our track to Pune. We reached Pune at 11:30. Had the best coffee at Durga and ended our trip with some awesome memories.
