My First Road Trip !!! Hurray !!!

I am excited to write abt this as this was my first experience. Well the first one always last. Me and my friends (Rahul, Vishi, Sarvesh) made a road trip to Harihareshwar & Diveagar on 24th March, 2012.
We started at 5 in the morning from Pune. We had two Unicorns. Took the road to Paud then crossed Mulshi.
Mulshi Dam at 6 am
After crossing Mulshi we met Tamhini Ghat. We might have crossed just 5-6 Kms of it and one of our unicorn got flat. I was a bit irritated at this. Well this event is a story. Me and Sarvesh went back a few kms to the local repair man. It was around 7 am. He was sleeping and he sad that he don't have the glue for fixing the tube. We came back at the puncture point with a heavy heart and then we all thought that the best solution we have is to load the bike in a truck and then the truck wala will drop us to the nearest repair shop. Sarvesh said that "We might have disturbed repairman's sleep and he might have got annoyed at this, because of this he might have said that he doesn't have the glue for fixing." We tried our luck once again and went back to the repairman. At this time he said that he doesn't have the glue but he will give us the tools and an old tube. We will have to do the hard work of repairing the puncture. This option didn't suited to most (all) of us. Ultimately we asked a Truck driver if he can help us with the situation. He agreed to drop us to the nearest repair shop. His name is Ganesh. He did all the hard work of uploading and downloading the bike in/from the truck. We were just supporting him. We are really thank full to him. After getting the bike repaired we again hit the road. We reached Diveagar around 12 in the noon. Spent some time on the beach then traveled to Harihareshwar. While going to Harihareshwar we saw some beautiful scenes as the road was parallel to beach. At Harihareshwar the parikrama (Circuit) of the temple was the best part.
Parikrama at Harihareshwar temple
We had to walk through rocks which were carved because of the strong waves. It was the best parikrama that I had done till date.

We started our journey back to Pune at 4:30 pm. When we kicked off our journey we were pretty sure of the route which we were to take (Harihareshwar -> Mahasla -> Mahad -> Pune) typically we were to follow the SH70. We had already crossed out the option of travelling back from Tamihi ghat as some dacoits incident were reported. So we followed the our plan of action. We traveled for about 2 hours and we were not able to see a person or an animal on our way. In this complete time span of 2 hrs we met a truck driver who directed us on the track which leads to Mahad. And then after an hour we met another guy which again said that we were on the right track to Mahad. But we had some fear in our heart and after these 2 hrs we saw a shop. We asked him about the roads to Mahad and Tamhini. The road to Tamhini was good but we had the fear of dacoits and the road to Mahad was bad it was also about 50km longer. We were in a dilemma. We ultimately decided that we will go to Mahasla and then take the route to Tamhini (jo hoga dekha jaaega types). One of the most important input was from our bumps in taking this decision. This was the first time we all came to know that the relation between bumps and seat is like that of Husband and wife. Its good when its new and its itching when it old. We reached Tamhini at about 8:30. Our bike didn't crossed the speed of 30 Kms/hr while we were in the Ghat. Sarvesh and Vishi met a small accident. There bike slipped. But still everything was fine. Daringly we crossed the Ghat and reached Mulshi. Then we drank a refreshing tea and set back on our track to Pune. We reached Pune at 11:30. Had the best coffee at Durga and ended our trip with some awesome memories.

A small Karnataka Trip

Hi All, This blog will be an informative blog for some one who is planning to go places in Karnataka. Me and my 3 friends (Nirmesh, Chirag & Kushal) planned a trip for 3D/2N during September 1st week.

Day 1

  • We left from Bangalore in morning 6 am. to Ranganatha Temple. On the way to Ranganath Temple we also saw few more temples.
  • Then we left for Madikeri reached there around 3 pm. Madikeri is like a central point from where we can go to other places.
  • We left from Madikeri to Talkaveri. Its the origin point of river Cauvery. That place was awesome. The complete temple was covered by fog. You can climb up some 400 stairs and reach to a peak. We were not able to see after 20ft. Its about 1276 mt above sea level.
  • Then we came back to Madikeri and stayed there.
Day 2
  • Next morning we left for Dubare. Its famous for River Rafting. There are two versions a smaller one (7 km) and a longer one (11km). In the 7 km ride(Rs 500) there were 4 rapids and in 11km(Rs 1000) ride 7-8 rapids. This was an awesome experience. There is a small section in the course of river where you can swim. The guys there provide a life jacket and head gear. MUST DO
  • Then we left from Dubare to Koppa. There we saw The Tibetian Golden Temple. Its a must watch. The temple is very nice and the best part was listening to the chants they were praying with drums and ghunti.
  • Then we left for Mysore. We reached Mysore around 4:30. There we saw the Mysore Palace and the Vrindavan Garden. I personally found vridavan garden a waste of time. The crowd was comparable to the crowd in Mumbai Local.
  • Then we stayed the night in Mysore
Day 3
  • The next morning we left for Talkadu (Talkad). Its a temple.
  • Then we left for Shivasamudram. There are two water falls Gaganachukki and Bharachukki. Those are a must watch. As it was rainy season they were at there best.. At gaganachukki we stayed in water for a while. Then we left for Bangalore and by 10pm we reached our home.
It was a nice and pleasant trip. We booked a car. In all we traveled 900km.

Support Against Corruption

A "Commom Man".
Is the one who suffers.
Is in the doubts till the end.
Which lokpal bill to support.
I am having questions in my mind. The biggest question is Can we trust anyone?. Is there some one who really wants the improvement in the society or his definition of society is himself.
My friend did a really brave job of sending the mail to higher authorities(Prime minister, president...). But I am thinking whether he thought before sending the mail or was it done in just emotional flow.

While writing this post I was thinking what to do. But I guess I am doing the right thing.

I am going to send the mail to the higher authorities. Guys what else can we do. I am sure no one of us going for a fast. But as others are giving a try to eradicate corruption I just want to support them.

A Common Man can only support. But that support is really very important. It is important for the one who cares to fight. A person who is fighting for us, when finds that he is backed by the people of his country gives a boost to his courage and there comes the thought that "What i am doing is correct". It requires courage to stand against corruption. But is requires support for one to stand. Lets get united and just send the mail to higher authorities. We should support.

A trip to goa

Hi friends,
Let me tell you abt my recent trip to Goa. Well this blog will a kind of informative abt Goa with some of my experiences.

We reached Goa at 10a.m. We were not preplanned. To utarte hi sabne apne dosto aur familiy members ko phone lagana chalu kara. Basically hum ko ye pata lagana tha ki hum ruke kaha. Aur jo hamesha hota hai wo hi hua CHAOS. Sab apni apni ray rakhne lage. At the end we decided to move to Calangute beach, got a room der and baad me samudra ki lehro ke saath khelne hum 7 veer chal diye. Kuch ki to paani chute hi phat gayi kyonki unhe tairna nahi aata tha. In this way our Day 1 started. Then we spent the whole day at the beach.
Next day we went to the Baga beach.

One thing I want to tell you is that Baga beach has awesome night life. It has gr8 crowd. Nice pubs, discs. Lekin bahut hi bakwaas bouncers, hamare unke saath pange ho gaye the. People who drink must go to Tito's club. Entry costs 1500/- but the some of the drinks are free. I went to Mambo's club. obviously no free beer and entry costed only 500/- Rs, but the atmosphere was better then Tito's club.
And people mind it, you should go Goa with your girlfriend/s, you can get the wildest part of them out der. Maine ye galti kari, you dont repeat that. Tito's, Mambo's and Club Cubana are gr8 place to visit, but they have couple entries only.
They have awesome babes and and good DJ's. Waise if you are not with your girls than don't worry, you will get lot of girls who also want to get into the club, just you have to dare to ask them. I did that it twice once got failed and the next time I got 2 girls from Delhi who were ready to get in. The party goes on till 4-5 in morning.

3rd day I took my bike and went to see the churches for which Goa is famous.
There are basically 4 churches one should see those are "Church of Our Lady of Rosary", "Se Cathedral", "Basilica de Bom Jesus", "Church of St. Cajetan", but the list does not ends here.

Out of these church Basilica is of more importance because it holds the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavierin. Then I went to Ponda, it is 19km from old goa. there I visited Manguesh Temple. One can also visit to Naguesh temple, Safa Shahouri mosque and many other things.

The last day I went to Arambol beach. I must say that this one of the best beach in Goa.

Compared to Baga and Calangute the crowd is young and more friendly. Its more lively then other beaches, people will enjoy talking to you and will lent their ear to you. At this beach you will find people like philosophers, artists and people who are not common. In sab ki prajaati hi kuch aur hoti hai. At this beach I got the chance to listen to a live music show at "Loekie cafe". It was a very nice experience. I also wanted to do para gliding but because the wind was not flowing the way we wanted, Mr. Andrew(owner of arambol hammock and a paraglider) suggested not to take the risk. For para gliding we climbed up a cliff, though we did't do the paragliding but what we earned from tiring trek was the view from the cliff and specially the sunset.

We also saw the Keri beach, and the Terekhol fort from the cliff. The view was amazing.

I have decided that my next trip to Goa will be of 3 days
1st day I will go to Arambol beach do paragliding, go to the Terekhol fort and Keri beach.
2nd day i will Go to Redi fort and paradise beach.
3rd day I will go to baga beach and enjoy the night life.

A Trip to Pandharpur

Hi Friends,
Recently I visited a place in Maharashtra named Pandharpur. It's a karm bhumi of Lord Vitthal. The credit for making me go to Pandharpur goes to my friends Rahul and Ganesh. Some night when me and Rahul were coming back from the lab he asked me " Chal yaar pandhar pur chalte hai". I said "OK". At that time we decided that we will go to pandharpur on Wednesday. Then hamari class ke jaane maane shaks jinke recently naukri lagi thi "Ganesh Bhau" unse humne pucha kya aap Pandhapur chaloge. He was ready on his foot and said "Chalo aaj hi chalte hai". We boarded the train the same night from Kalyan. We reached Solapur, there we saw the temple of "Sant Sidheshwar". Then we took a bus from Solapur to Pandharpur. It was a 2 hrs journey.

We finally reached Pandharpur at aroud 15:00 hrs. We took bath in river Bhima and then first visited the temple of Sant Pandulik. I would like to tell you the long story of Lord Vitthal in short.

There was a Sant named "Pandulik", he was busy attending his mother and father and the same time Lord Vitthal arrived there and asked for something. As Pandulik was busy he threw a brick towards Lord Vitthal and asked him to stand on it and wait. Lord Vitthal saw immense love in the eyes of Pandulik for his parent and didn't mind waiting there and stood there for ever. So this is how Lord Vitthal halted there and now there is a big temple which we visited.

There is one more interesting thing about that temple that, I haven't seen a temple in which you can be that close to the idol of the Lord that even you can place your head in feets of the Lord.

The temple was very old and made of black stone. It was a beautiful and nice experience.

When we thought of returning from Pandharpur we thought of eating something and the same time the most dreadful thing for a IIT student happened. Ganesh Bhau got a call from his guide. And told him that " Ab to placement ho gaya, kaam pe lag jao".

We enjoyed our trip. We returned back in the evening by a direct bus from Pandharpur to Thane. We sat in the bus. the conductor came and we asked for three tickets to Thane. He said Nine hundred and something. But we were having only 850 Rs. So he gave us the tickets to Panvel. Then in the middle we got an ATM and bought the tickets for the rest of our Journey.

The Final Match (Striker's Got Strucked)

Hello All,
Ohh This was the final day of "THE KPL".

Before narrating the whole match I would like to say something about "THE KPL".
It was a really very good experience....actually it was the best experience related to when I had played cricket.

I would Like to thank the organizers for continuing with KPL.
I am glad that there was no mishappenings during the match.
The umpires were really gud. They did a nice job. Hats Off Anshul, Vishal, Akhilesh, Vinu, Sagar.
I am happy that there were not any odd situations (thoda bahut to chalta hai....aur agar thoda bahut nahi ho to hum blog walo ko likhe ke liye kuch nahi milega.)

The final match was between "THE STRIKERS" and "SCORPIANS".
I won the toss and choosed to bowl first.
Rupesh started the attack and he bowled a good over. Then came Haranath This was not his day.
Vishal bated well and hit 3 fours in that over. This was the first time in the entire KPL that haranath went for this much of runs.

Before the match Kushal was discussing with me about Vishal.
Kushal----"यार तुम बोलते हो की विशाल बहुत आचा खेलता है | लेकिन मैंने तो कभी उसे देखा ही नहीं खेलते हुए |".

I think after this match Kushal won't have any doubts.

Next was Vijay to bowl. His over was awesome. He was at his best. He took the wicket of Arindum in the first ball. What a ball.

Then came the 4th over. We had a discussion to give the ball to whome. whether to go with the same strategy " to give the ball to me or Bhanu" do something "new". we did new-- we gave the ball to Rupesh and wowwww.........what an over........he got the wicket......cooolllll.

Then came Ambika to bowl. And Prajaktaa Patil (future captain of the Indian girls cricket team )
We were not frightened of any of the boys fron the Scorpians, but we were frightened of Prajakta.
we had placed all the fielders at the boundary. And that clicked, Ambika gave just 3 runs in that over. She is the most consistent bowler in girls in KPL...........nice bowling Amb!....

Then I came to bowl. यार यकीं नहीं होता की में इतनी आची बोवलिंग कर सकता हु ..........शायद सामने बत्समन आचा नहीं होगा | I got the wicket of Ajitav in the first ball and gave only 5 runs in that over. Last over was bowled by Vijay.
With the wicket of Ajitav Scorpians were 4 wicket down.(Kpl rule----player has to get retired after scoring 30 runs and he can come to bat only if all the player of the team gets our or get retired.) If we get a wicket then Vishal will come to bat again, and we didn't wanted that. But on the first ball Bhanu took the catch of Mahesh or Ashish (i dont remember). And Vijay angrily told bhanu....."@#$%^&*(()" पता नहीं क्या कहा तेलगु में कहा था . but the crust was "क्या करा ये तुने , catch क्यों पकड़ा "

After that bahnu dropped the ball, but poor bhanu he is not knowing the rule that if a player takes the catch then the batsman is out, even if he drops the ball after catching the player is out. I was a littel tensed. But i forgot that it was "THE GREATE LEGENDARY BOWLER VIJAY". He bowled beautifully Vishal was not able to hit the ball......not even touched.

We stopped them at 49.

Now came our turn to bat.

Our GREAT OPENING players Haranath and Vijay started the inings. Vijay got out early.
Then came my chance of batting. अरे यार कोई तो बाल ऐसी करो जो में खेल पाऊ........i played ball but बाल कभी बात पे नहीं आती (डरपोक डरपोक डरपोक ). I was also bluffed by vishal with a slower delievery.
After that our wickets fell at regular interval. Though Prajakta gave 4 wides but we were not able to score 50 runs.

we lost the match.

But still I am very happy with the performance of the team. Before the KPL there were roumers like
"Ahhhh......Strikers.....वो तो पहले ही round में बहार हो जायेंगे "
"उनके पास तो कुछ भी नहीं है "

"But we have proved ourselves by defeating the so called bests"

At last we are going to earn 2500 Rs.

first आते तो 3500 Rs मिलते , खैर कोई बात नहीं

Bahut maza aaya...KPL khelne me.......We will try to organize the KPL-3rd season also.

The Semi's.....Whew......

Today morning was the same. आज लdha ने मुझे उठाया. Then our complete team went for the match. This was a very important match, as it was the semi-final. The match was between THE STRIKERS and ULTIMATE WARRIORS.
Both Team were in gud form and both have lost their last match. V reached earlier and did some warm up. The match started. I won the toss and chose to field first.
Rupesh started the attack.

First ball and a LONG six...... every one was saying whats dis......common man off stump common....just bowl off stump.
Second Ball.........a wide. A thought struck my mind. This was a kind of start we had in our last match and we lost that. So I told Rupesh to bowl just off stump.

Then the two overs went well. Haranath and Vijay took some pressure off. Then came the 4 over. It was a really tough in deciding who should bowl the 4th over. I thought that it would be better to give the bowling to Bhanu bcoz in morning he bowled some great deliveries. But..................................शायद इतने बड़े But के बाद कुछ बचा ही नहीं है लिखने को.
First ball........Six
Second ball.......Four
Third ball........No ball (Free hit)
Fourth Ball.......Wide (free hit continued)
Sixth Ball.....पता नहीं क्या क्या हुआ उस ओवर में...मैंने तो सोचना ही छोड़ दिया था I was just praying ki kab ye over khatam ho. Ultimate warriors scored 20 runs in that over.
Then came Ambi to bowl. She did a great job by bowling a maiden over.
Then the last 2 overs were bowled by Haranath and Rupesh which were awesome.
Now our turn to Bat
Our two great batsman started walking towards the pitch.
Sagar started the bowling, He bowled a very nice over just giving 4 runs in that over.
Then came the over of Uday. Haranath hit him hard.
In the next over Vijay got bowled. Then came my turn to bat.
Haranath मुझे ये समझा ता रहा की बस टिक के खेलना है | सब को ये ही दर रहता है की में बस bat घुमाता हु और उस चक्कर में आउट हो जाता हु | This time I decided that I hav to play well and keep on rotating the strike. And i did that. This time i played some gud shot, but the shot of the day was when Haranath hit the ball for SIX at long on. Whew........what a shot.
The match continued and came the 6th over. Team captain Tarun took the ball in his hand. We required 7 more runs to win.

First ball..........wide

Second ball.........wide

Third ball..........wide

Fourth ball.........wide

हमे तो मैच खेलना ही नहीं पड़ा | ULTIMATE WARRIORS के कुछ खिलाडी हमारे ही साथ थे | They gave 30 extra runs. And we won the match. With this win we are in the Finals.

@Haranath : Gud Batting man....I hope to see this again in the finals

@ Investors : Please don't come to see the match. तुम लोग जब भी आते हो तो हम हार जाते है | तो अगर तुम चाहते हो की हम जीते तो मत आना |

All the Best Team.
